Enlightened Organizations: inspiration

REDEFINING THE COMPANY

Steps Count www.stepscount.com is a small Ontario company with huge inspiration. I have chosen them as the first company I want to profile as an exemplary Enlightened Organization. Located in an office building basement, off the main street in Deep River, Ontario, a little town 2 hours north of Ottawa, it is nothing like any basement office you have been in!

Consciousness: MIndshift

VIEWING THE CONSCIOUS BODY

I created the Body Conscious Guide(tm) to inspire a dialogue about states of Consciousness – a road map of sorts - from lowest to highest energy. I believe our lowest state of consciousness and darkest night is the state of Hopelessness, where there is hardly enough energy to even imagine going on with life. Progressively, there are increasing energy reserves at Sadness, moving up to Shame, Guilt, Grief, Fear, Doubt, and Anger.

The next step on the guide to Body Consciousness(tm)….

WHAT IS NETWORK MARKETING?

Our Thursday blogs are dedicated to a discussion of the network marketing industry, what it is, and what it may offer as a model for the future economy. We welcome comments and debate!

Network marketing is a six decade old industry which, in terms of the life of an industry, makes it not much more mature than a teenager – and like most teenagers – it is incredibly misunderstood. It is a model we want to pay a great deal of attention to because we think it has a great deal to offer for emerging marketing methods.

Law of Attraction: Responsibility

OUR RESPONSIBILITY IN ATTRACTION

Fundamental to understanding the concept of the Law of Attraction, is to understand the importance of personal responsibility. Once one appreciates that “all that is” comes from a higher power within, and your responsibility is to tap into that power, anything is possible.

Breaking Trend In Philanthropy

Read the Chronicle of Philanthropy article.

Community: Philanthropy

A SEA CHANGE IN FOUNDATIONS?

It looks like the Wingart Foundation may have just broken the philanthropy industry mold.

Ian Wilhelm wrote an opinion piece in the Chronicle of Philanthropy today on the news. Worth reading.

If you’ve ever managed a non-profit, you’ve undoubtedly learned some of the intricacies of funding streams, whether government, private, corporate, or foundation.

Enlightened Organizations: Discussion

INTRODUCING A NEW MODEL OF CHANGE

Speed of change today is exponential. In just a few hundred years, civilization moved through an Agrarian Society, an Industrial Society; and within that Industrial Society, a Manufacturing Age and an Information Age.

Finding The Tao Of Business Consciousness

Monday, December 8th, 2008

I’m honored to welcome author and speaker, Judy Berg of British Columbia to Thinking Big Works.

Since retiring from a top communications management position with the Canadian government, she and her husband Jim have built Well Naturally International, a successful network marketing company with Nikken, Inc. and traveled the world.

We have assisted Judy and Jim for two years in the creation of her personal development seminar business, Soul Abundant. I highly recommend her current book, Imagine Your Soul Abundant.

Judy and I are currently writing the book for enlightened businesses, The Tao of Conscious Business: Global Coherence Marketing, which we’ll explore in this blog. Join our conversation. Please share your wisdom and comments.

Peachland Sunrise ~ It is a joy to get up early in the morning when Mother Nature greets you like this! – a picture from my living room window. Here in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada, I don’t need pictures in my living room. Mother Nature selects a new one for me – hour by hour.

Why Aren’t You Home Practicing?

Inspiration: Focus

SO DO YOU NEED MOTIVATION?

Charlie Wicks is CEO at Pro-Co Sound in Kalamazoo, MI. In the 1970s, he was one of the founders of a massive musicians’ complex called the Sound Factory. Among other things, touring bands like Alice Cooper shipped their gear in for maintenance and repair there. I always enjoyed visiting, chatting about business, exploring the warehouse-size showroom, and lusting over the gorgeous gorgeous guitars.

There would always be folks playing the guitars, mandolins and everything else in the racks of acoustic and electric instruments. And on the wall was the big sign that said:

WHY AREN’T YOU HOME PRACTICING?

WHERE ARE YOUR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES?

More and more of our clients are looking outside the box for near and mid-term opportunities. For many, that is to the south.

The real and massive changes now beginning to occur in the global economy have always intrigued us, and now are critical, but we rarely find the answers we look for in mass media sources.

Management: Business Contests

Management: Business Contests

WE DID IT. SO CAN YOU – IF YOU WANT

We won the only business contest we ever entered in 2003-04 when we were ready to take MutualGravity to market. One of my partners, Art Leopold, MutualGravity’s VP, Sales, convinced me to take the time to prepare for the competition. As a result, the Pennsylvania Ben Franklin program, through the Gannon University Small Business Development Center, provided us with a $25,000 check.
